COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Do you know where your next meal is coming from?
Some people don't. Help us give to them that are in need in the Washington DC area by bringing donations of canned goods and other nonperishable food to the credit union. Donations can be left at any Agriculture Federal Credit Union branch locations. The food will be distributed to Bread for the City and the Emmaus Services for the Aging.
Many Thanks to all who donate!
Agriculture FCU now accepting donations for Dr. Bears Toy Closet at Children’s National Medical Center Often times, a deck of cards, a doll or even a stuffed animal can put a smile on the face of a child who hasn’t smiled in quite some time. Dr. Bear’s® Toy Closet is a room filled with donated toys, games, books, and other items which really help to boost the spirits of patients of all ages. A well-stocked Dr. Bear’s® Toy Closet is essential to ensure that every patient has a gift for the holidays, their birthdays and most importantly, a little something to serve as a reward for their courage in fighting an illness. The Closet provides items to thousands of patients who are treated in Children’s Inpatient Units, the Emergency Room and Outpatient Treatment Centers, such as Dialysis, Oncology, Health Centers and Surgical Care. Toys are also used to stock the playrooms on each clinical unit. Playing is essential when a child is undergoing difficult treatment or procedures due to illness. Providing a new game or toy and watching a smile light up a child’s face is a special moment for families, staff and volunteers. You can bring toys to any Agriculture FCU branch during regular business hours.
